How is Doctors Without Borders responding?

Doctors Without Borders has deployed mobile clinics in schools and shelters where displaced people took refuge. MSF offers medical consultations and medication for acute and chronic conditions. We have also donated essential items such as mattresses, blankets, and hygiene kits.

    • Since 23 September Doctors Without Borders mobile clinics visited two locations in Mount Lebanon where displaced people have taken shelter. We are providing medical and mental health consultations.
    • We have donated essential items including mattresses, blankets, and hygiene kits to displaced people in 8 sites in Saida and Tripoli. We are actively assessing the needs in order to scale up support.
    • As of September 26, we have reopened our clinic in Baalbek-Hermel to provide patients with much-needed medications for their chronic conditions. Simultaneously, our mental health helplines are receiving over 60 calls a day from people experiencing rising mental health needs.
    • We donated 710 kilogrammes of medical supplies to three hospitals in South Lebanon and Beirut. This comes to supplement the 10 tonnes of medical supplies Doctors Without Borders previously prepositioned in hospitals across the country for emergencies, of which some were used to respond to the influx of wounded in Baalbek, Nabatieh, and other parts of Lebanon.
