    Gift Acceptance Policy

Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international and independent medical humanitarian organisation that delivers emergency aid to people affected by armed conflict, epidemics, pandemics, natural disasters and exclusion from healthcare.  At the core of our work is a commitment to independence, neutrality, and impartiality. These principles make it possible for MSF teams to gain access to those who urgently need medical care, and to remain safe while providing this care.

As a private international organisation with majority of donations originating from the public, we are committed to maintaining high ethical standards in the independent funding that has enabled Doctors Without Borders to reach more people in need, to respond faster to emergencies, to broaden the range of medical services we provide and to improve the quality of our medical care.

MSF will not accept contributions from companies and their respective corporate foundations as well as entities that lobby on their behalf, whose core activities may be in direct conflict with the goals of the medical humanitarian work of MSF or which may limit MSF's ability to provide humanitarian assistance in any way.

MSF accepts funds from corporations (including companies, multinational corporations, corporate foundations, small businesses, and other corporate entities) except those from excluded industries that derive a significant portion of their income from the production and/or sale of tobacco, alcohol, arms, pharmaceuticals (including: medicines, medical equipment, therapeutic foods, diagnostic and biotechnical materials, and research), and/or mineral, oil, gas, or other extractive industries.

The use of the MSF logo by a corporate partner must be restricted to appropriate uses only, and care should be taken to ensure that MSF's name and reputation is not harmed or diluted by excessive or inappropriate promotion.

MSF reserves the right to refuse donations from any corporate entity.
