At Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), we recognise that this is a time of reflection, generosity, and community for many of our supporters.
Your support helps provide essential, lifesaving treatment through our humanitarian missions, recognised globally for their impact, transparency, and dedication to those most in need of emergency medical humanitarian care.
- 1. Your sadaqah can help ease suffering in times of crisis
Every year, Doctors Without Borders teams respond to some of the world’s most high-profile medical emergencies – and those not in the wider public spotlight. Across the world, thousands of our staff work tirelessly to treat the sick and wounded and provide assistance to communities facing difficult circumstances.
Your Sadaqah can help us continue to provide life-saving medical aid, including surgeries, wound treatment, maternal and pediatric care, vaccinations, and mental health support. Yet the scale of the suffering remains overwhelming. With healthcare systems destroyed and access to supplies limited, the situation is dire. The need for aid is greater than ever.
- 2. Giving without barriers
At its core, the purpose of humanitarian action is to ease the suffering of people caught in acute crises. Our commitment to neutrality and impartiality ensures that medical care reaches those who need it most, regardless of their race, religion or background. We operate independently of any political agendas, and do not take sides in armed conflict. Our priority is always the wellbeing of our patients.
- 3. Responsible, Transparent, and Shariah-Advised Giving
Whether given as part of your daily generosity or in memory of a loved one, your Sadaqah is used responsibly to provide essential medical care where gaps exist. Before launching any program, our teams assess urgent needs to ensure meaningful impact. We are committed to full transparency and efficient use of funds, and our allocation process has been advised by a prominent Sharia advisory firm to align with Islamic principles.

How Doctors Without Borders use your donations
Make a real impact with your Sadaqah Giving your Sadaqah to Doctors Without Borders this Ramadan means you can be certain your donation will be helping the people who need it most. Around 80 per cent of the donations we receive go directly toward our medical programs and advocacy work. Only 15 per cent is reinvested in fundraising and the remaining goes to management and general administration costs. Maintaining this standard is our priority to ensure your contributions are utilized efficiently to support people in need around the world.
